Hello family!! There is a lot I need to write and I don’t have hardly any time to email so I’m gonna do my weekly letter in my journal.
Last Sunday there was a ward baptism after church, and so there was a family there visiting because they were related to the kid getting baptized. After the baptism, I saw one of the kids who was there visiting and he looked pretty sadish. I walked by him and said Hi and said I liked his shirt. Ten minutes later he came up to me and asked if I could talk to him for a second. So I motioned to Elder A and we went over to talk to him. He started kinda tearing up and he told me that he thought something was wrong with him because every night he has terrible demonic dreams. He said he wakes up every night after having a dream and can’t go back to sleep because he feels sick. He said he hadn’t slept through the night in weeks. At this point he was crying. He said he also felt really bad because the missionaries (Elder Simmons) had taught him before and I guess he was kinda rude to them and didn’t want to listen.
I gave him a hug, then offered to give him a blessing. We went into a classroom with his mom and I gave him a blessing and said that the dreams would not return, and that if he would take the steps toward baptism he would have peace and happiness in his life.
The Elders of Jose C Paz 3 (JCP3) went and visited him later that day. (He lives in their area) He and all his family came to church yesterday. He said he has never been better with a big smile on his face! He is 13 years old and is getting baptized next week!!
We went to area Blanca again Saturday. It is the part that is way out in the boonies of our area. It is so cool out there! There are a ton of Paraguayos; maybe I’m gonna learn a little bit of Guarani (the national language of Paraguay). It’s like the wild west of JCP. We saw like a little kid who couldn’t have been older than 8 or 9 riding bareback on a huge horse and he was like herding other horses through the town. It was crazy.
Yesterday at church it was so cool. Elder A and I visited a ton of menos activos (less actives) this past week. We had 10 menos activos and 1 investigator at church yesterday. And JCP3 had like 5 menos activos and 3 investigators at church yesterday. The capilla (chapel) was FULL!! It was the coolest thing ever. We are gonna divide this ward!! Either divide it or make a Sol y Verde rama (branch). But we’ve got to start baptizing some people if we are gonna do it.
Family, please pray that we will be able to find people who are ready to be baptized and will have desires to gain a testimony of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ.
Love you!
Elder Moe
