Last Letter!

I, along with hundreds of other missionaries, never thought my mission would end the way it did, or at the time it did. When I first heard, out of the mouth of my mission President, that there was a chance we would be sent home, my whole life felt like it got flipped upside down. It didn’t feel real, it wasn’t even a sure thing yet, but I still felt like it would come to pass.

As I knelt down to say my prayer before sleeping, feelings of uncertainty and shock raced through my body. I didn’t say many words in that prayer, but I just remember saying something to the effect of, “whatever Thy will is, I will happily comply.” I remember as those words left my mouth, that a sense of peace and security surged over me. I felt the love of my Savior and knew that if I would only be obedient, whatever happened would be His will.

Well I’m at home now haha, and if there is one thing that I have learned on my mission it is to apply the Lord’s counsel in Psalm 46 and D&C 101:16 “Therefore, let your hearts be comforted... for all flesh is in mine hands; be still and know that I am God.”

If you are sad because you got your mission cut short, you are scared or frightened by the virus, you’re nervous about the economic problems being caused by the quarantine, or you are just going through a hard time, be still and know that He is God.

I LOVED my mission. It was such an amazing experience and I was able to grow much closer to my Savior. It was such a pleasure to get to know the marvelous people that live in Argentina, and teach them the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that He lives and directs this church through a modern prophet. I know that there is nothing nothing nothing in this world that cannot be mended or restored through the atonement of Christ.  IN the name of Jesus Christ, AMEN.
