"I Turned White As A Ghost"

Sept 6, 2018

I could email for a full day about this week it was absolutely amazing, life could not be better! WE did get to hear from Elder Rasband and it was literally the craziest/best day of my life. I will not be able to tell you all of what occurred in those short few hours so ill send you a full account of my journal next week but i will try to sum it up.

The entire CCM was there and all of the Buenos Aires South and West missions. So there were a LOT of missionaries. We were all standing in groups waiting to take pics with Elder Rasband (he hadn’t entered the building yet) and me and Elder Christensen and Elder Andrus started singing. After about two songs people started to join in, then we sang Army of Helamen and all the gringos from CCM joined in and all the Latinos started singing it in Spanish at the same time. The spirit filled the room as all these missionaries sang hymns waiting to see an apostle of the Lord. Then us three started singing I Am a Child of God and every missionary in the room sang along, whether in Spanish or English - All the missionaries from the CCM and from South Mission. (West missionaries were outside) The spirit was SO STRONG!

We all got to shake Elder Rasband’s hand individually then we got settled into our seats and a guy got up and started conducting the meeting (in Spanish of course) and I wasn’t paying too much attention, but all of a sudden I heard my name called from the speaker. Then I realized he was saying names of people that were going to bear their testimonies before the meeting started. Someone, maybe Elder Rasband, I don’t know, picked three missionaries out of the crowd of 400+ missionaries. Every single missionary from the CCM turned around and looked at me and I turned white as a ghost. They just called my name to go up and bear my testimony in front of hundreds of missionaries and Elder Rasband. I walked up to the stand and he looked me in the eye and thanked me for coming up. I then proceeded to bear testimony of the things I know to be true in the Spanish language. The spirit was there with me the entire time filling my mouth with words. I then looked down at the pulpit and then looked up again and started bearing it in English.  I then finished in the name of Jesus Christ. I looked back and Elder Rasband thanked me again and I returned to my seat. It was the most amazing experience of my life. My companion turned to me and said, "this is going to be something you are going to remember for the rest of your life; and it’s true.

I have had something impressed upon three very distinct times since I have been here. Once while reading the BoM, once during Elder Rasband’s talk, and once while talking to my friends in the room at night and reading scriptures together. It has been impressed upon to the point of keeping me awake at night. Guys, Christ is about to come back. He has been preparing for his return for some time now and his preparations are coming to a close. He is coming. He is coming sooner than any of us could imagine. WE have such limited time left on this earth. WE HAVE TO PREPARE OURSELVES. Christ is literally about to come back to earth and what are we doing to prepare? If any of us are from the lineage of Ephraim or Manasseh, our number one priority in life should be helping the people of this earth to be ready so that their suffering can be lessened in the very final days. It is to the point now that if we do not open our mouths and share and give people an opportunity to accept this gospel, we are setting aside our very purpose, our assignment, our job given to us by the Lord, and choosing our own desires as more important.

Sorry if that seemed like I was preaching, I had to share and every time I talk or think about it I get really, really fired up. I legit screamed my testimony in tears to my district this week, the spirit was so strong I could literally do nothing but shout it, I knew it to be so true.

All the guys in the other older gringo district got the Hershey squirts this week so that was wild, one of the toilets is still untouchable - it is still wrecked so bad.

One of the chicks that sings the "If You Could Hie to Kolob/Come Thou Fount" (Elenyi) song is here at the CCM so that is pretty wild.

Love you guys, y’all are the best! Love love love ya!
