"We Got A Reference"

Aug 19, 2019
This week we got a reference from Elder Smith en San Fernando. He had contacted a woman in a colectivo (public transportation) that was inactive and living in Tigre! We called her and went and visited her yesterday. She is from Peru and was baptized there when she was younger. She has had some struggles in her life and stopped going to church a few years ago but she said she would like to bring her daughters to church and try to start going again. And her two daughters aren’t baptized!! She is super busy during the week but she said we could probably come back this Friday. Whooo!

We get transfer calls tonight! Ill let you guys know next week what happens, but I will most likely be staying here. The hot water has not been fixed yet but we are ok, we are patient in our afflictions. I’m gonna talk to the guys in the offices tomorrow.

Today we are going to meet up with a few other elders (Elder Galves being one of them, he is the Mexican from my group that I love) and we are going to go out to eat and then go to Puerto de los Frutos because today is some type of holiday so there should be a lot of shops open.

Love you family!! Hope you guys have a good week! Good luck in school Becca!

Sorry my pictures haven't been all that exciting since i've been in Tigre, but my camera won't work with the old computer here in the office, so I just get stuff from Jackson's camera.

"They Came Yesterday!!"

Aug 12, 2019
Three of our investigators came to church this week! It was so sweet! One of them has a baptismal date in two weeks. We've been having a hard time getting our investigators to come to the church, but with much fasting and work, they came yesterday!! It was great because the branch members were really awesome with them! We also had a family home evening with one of them after church and also celebrated Elder Jackson’s birthday with cake at two different members' homes. I got him a bunch of junk food for his birthday.

Love you all,
Elder Moe

I got my package!

"Water Heater Broke (and it's winter)"

Burger King every P day!

Aug 5, 2019
Hello Family!!
It’s been quite interesting in Tigre! Last weekend our water heater broke (and its winter) and our microwave as well stopped working. Oh wait... did I mention that our heater broke as well? Oh ya that too! But apart from that we have been doing great!

We shower out of a pot of water heated over the stove. We have a cup and we scoop out half hot water and then mix it with the freezing cold water from the shower so that its not boiling :) Funny experience, I rubbed soap all over my face and then realized I hadn’t filled the cup up. So I blindly found the cup, scooped out some of the super hot water ( a little bit more than I wanted to) and then added what I thought would have been a good amount of cold water and then poured it on my face. IT was still SCALDING hot and I screamed like a little girl. Elder Jackson was laughing pretty hard.

We had a good week! Mora (name changed) didn’t make it to church but she promised she would come this week, well see!! She is already in the book of Jacob, page like 160 in the book of Mormon! I was in divisions with the Elders de Lopez Camelo and Elder Jackson and Elder Savage contacted a nice woman in the street. Then she showed up for the second hour of church out of nowhere!! IT was a miracle!!

Today we went to San Fernando and played soccer! Elder Cutler and Elder Wallace were both there; it was like being in Jose C Paz again!! Edler Wallace took a picture with his camera, ill get it to you next week.

That’s so crazy that the Johnston’s live in Utah now! That trip looked like you guys had a bunch of fun!!! I loved looking at all the pictures.

There is a kid that is the boyfriend of a less active that is being really humbled in his life right now and contacted one of the members here for help, and that member contacted us! He has a baptismal date for the 24 of Agosto. Pray for him as well please!

Love you fam!!
