"Miracles!"

Miracles! This week was amazing! We had a few people that we have been working with for a while now that have rejected multiple baptismal invitations finally accept! Through their prayers and ours, the Lord was able to soften their hearts! We were praying so hard for miracles. Five of our investigators all accepted dates for the 8^thof June!! What a blessing! What a miracle!!

Today, another person that we have been trying to contact called us.  He called us!! He was someone from referral manager.  We went by his house like three times and finally we just left a pamphlet with our number on it in the gate. El nos llamo (he called us)!! He accepted a baptismal date for the 15 of June!  We went from 0 persons with a fecha (date) to 6 people with a fecha in 3 days!! It just feels amazing!! So many blessings.

Yesterday we had Stake Conference; it was amazing! We told another young woman that we found that we could meet up in the station in JCP and go to San Miguel with her for conference.  She was down, but then on Saturday her dad got sent to the hospital so she said she probably wasn’t gonna be able to make it… As she was telling us this over the phone, we promised her that her dad would quickly recover if she would come to the conference. She came!! Then, later that day we had a lesson with her and she said that everything we had promised her came true! And her dad was already doing way better.  Miracles! (Count you many blessings name them one by one – sung in Elder Moe voice)

Stake conference was so full of miracles; we had a large part member, inactive family come, AND they brought two friends that aren’t members!! AND, another inactive sister we have been working with brought her neighbor and we were able to have our first lesson with her later that day! (Count your many blessings see what God has done!)  SO MANY MIRACLES! We have been seeing lots of miracles with the less actives. Now we have three new investigators that were all references from less actives that are now coming back to church. All three will receive baptismal invitations this week!! On top of that, the messages in the conference were really good.  

All of these miracles happening and transfers come tomorrow.  I’m 99.9% sure I will be leaving this area, but that’s how things go.

"The BOM Changes Lives!"

We had a good week! We invited a family we’ve been teaching to get baptized. The hermana said no because she doesn’t “feel it” yet, but come to find out she hadn’t read anything from the Book of Mormon!! The Book of Mormon is the key!! The hermano said he wanted to keep reading a little more. We had a lesson with them last night and we showed them the 20 minute video of the restoration.  It was good.

I don’t know if I told you about when another person we’ve been teaching told us he was on medication for depression, but after reading the Book of Mormon every day for a week he felt like he didn’t need the medication anymore! The BOM changes lives!

Last week Elder Harrop and I went on divisions and there was a national holiday that day so there were no buses or trains. We felt like we needed to go to Sol Y Verde though, so we walked from our apartment all the way to Barrio Kishner and back which is a little over 10 miles. On the way, a kid stopped us in the street and asked if we were the Elders. Turns out, he and his brother and sister had been baptized less than a year ago and just moved here to JCP, and they didn’t know where the closest church was. So that was a cool experience.

We had an activity with Locro in the church!! That big stew thing in the huge pot is called Locro. It has a lot of stuff in it including a few pigs feet (my bowl didn’t have one and I didn’t want to push my luck so I didn’t go for a second) and cow intestine!! (as seen above my middle finger in the picture) It was actually pretty good though!!

I sent a journal pic this week!!! Those state shirts are ugly. I loved talking to you guys as well!!! I’ll call again next week! Think of specific questions that you want to ask, it is easier to think of stories and things when I get specific questions.
